Producer in Farnham, Surrey
Lucy Burley
Lucy Burley throws simple earthenware vessels on the wheel: bottles, bowls, vases and jugs that stand alone or group into sculptural still lifes. She finishes each piece in a semi-matt glaze, smooth to the touch, tinting it with oxides and stains across a wide spectrum of colours. Drawing on Giorgio Morandi's paintings, she aims for a quiet harmony of form and colour. Her work shows through occasional exhibitions, Open Studio events and stockist galleries.
