For shops, galleries and gift shops
Stock your shop with things made near you
Independent shops, galleries and gift shops keep hearing the same thing from customers: where is this made? The honest answer is usually a factory. It does not have to be.
Tell us what you are looking to stock and we will send it to the makers within range who work in that trade. They reply to you directly, you agree terms between you, and we never see the order or take a cut of it.
How it works
-
You say what you are after.
A trade, a rough quantity, and how far you will travel. Ceramics for a gift shop. Candles for a farm shop. Prints, jewellery, textiles, woodwork.
-
We send it to the makers who fit.
Everyone listed in that trade within your range gets it, whether they pay us anything or not.
-
They come back to you.
Directly, to your inbox, with what they make and what they can supply. Nothing goes through us.
What it costs
Nothing, and there is no account to make. We charge makers a few pounds a month for a shop and nothing at all for a listing. We have never taken a commission on a sale and we never will.
What you won’t get: a 40-page PDF
No trade portal, no minimum order of 500, no sales rep who’s never seen the product. Most makers near you have never supplied a shop, which is exactly why nobody else has their work.
What you get is a reply from the person who made it, and the answer to “where’s this from?” becomes “about four miles that way”.
Some reply the same day. The best ones are in the workshop and reply on Thursday.
