Derby Hill Farm/Dairy
Derby Hill Farm has been a working Lancashire farm since 1850, and has stayed in the Bradley family for five generations at Weeton. The farm milks its own herd and delivers milk and flavoured milkshakes on the doorstep in returnable glass bottles, which customers rinse and leave out for collection and reuse. Its handmade butter is patted by hand with wooden paddles in the traditional way, using double cream from the farm's own milk with only sea salt added, and now sells to doorstep customers, confectioners, local restaurants and ice-cream makers in the area. The dairy has passed a SALSA safety audit, and its chocolate milk was featured on ITV's Love Your Weekend.
