Cherry Tree Farm
Paul Hope is the third generation of his family to farm at Cherry Tree, down a quiet lane in the Wealden village of Frittenden near Cranbrook. The farm has bred sheep here since 1918 and now keeps around 800 breeding ewes, mostly Suffolks and Mules, lambing each January and March under 24-hour watch in the lambing sheds. Angus and British Blue cattle graze the fields too, calving through spring and into summer. Cherry Tree sells its own free-range meat straight from the farm, taking it no further than necessary to keep it local.
