Effie Burns Glass
Miniature glass sculptures cast from foraged natural objects: mushrooms, conkers, pine cones, quinces, figs and raspberries, alongside jet earrings and prints. Working from a studio in Whitby, Effie Burns forages along cliff paths and through woodlands, then casts, gilds and engraves glass to distil each specimen into a piece held in the palm of the hand. Her work has been exhibited in the Armitt Museum and in a medieval castle in Bavaria.
