Table Games by Zoom

The group plays board and table games online, meeting by video call so members can chat while they play, and using breakout rooms if people want to play different games at the same time. Games are played through Board Game Arena, a public site that welcomes visitors and holds several hundred titles for various numbers of players, and which saves playing history and statistics for anyone who chooses to sign up. Recent games have included Wingspan, Carcassonne, Azul and Dvonn. Members join from their own computer at home on the third Friday of the month at 2pm. Meeting this way means nobody has to carry heavy games to a venue, compete for quiet with others using a hall, or travel, which matters to members who are disabled, and there is no long setup before play begins.
