Stapleford & District u3a runs 14 groups around Stapleford.
The Stapleford and District branch of the u3a, a self help organisation for people no longer in full time employment, whose activities are run by its volunteer members. Its interest groups meet at various locations and cover active, creative and more studious interests. There is a monthly open meeting from 2pm until 4pm on the first Wednesday of the month at Stapleford Methodist Church on Eatons Road, with a programme of speakers followed by refreshments and time to socialise. A newsletter is produced each month covering local and national u3a news.
- Newcomers Membership is not required for a first visit, so a newcomer can come to an open meeting and get a feel for what the branch is about.
- Cost, as stated 25 Aug 2026 Annual membership is £20, with the membership year running from April to March. Visitors pay £2 a visit.
