Stanford-le-Hope & District u3a runs 48 groups around Stanford-le-Hope.

Stanford-le-Hope and District u3a began in 2014 and is a registered charity run by its members for its members, pooling and sharing their skills, abilities and time. A general meeting is held on the second Thursday of the month, from 2pm until 4pm, at the Springhouse Sports and Function Suite on Springhouse Road, Corringham, where members hear news of local and national u3a matters followed by a guest speaker. The interest groups meet in members' homes, local halls and other venues as appropriate, and there are groups organising celebration meals, holidays, day trips and theatre trips that are open to all members. A monthly newsletter, available in print at general meetings, carries details of current and future activities.
