Ripley & District u3a runs 20 groups around Ripley.
Ripley and District u3a was formed at the beginning of 2009 and has around 145 members and 21 established interest groups. u3as are self-help, self-managed learning co-operatives for people no longer in full time work, offering the chance to share learning not for qualifications but for fun. The branch holds a coffee morning at 11am on the third Tuesday of the month at the Willow Wood cafe for anyone thinking of joining or wanting to know more. Membership of the branch is required in order to join any of the interest groups.
- Cost, as stated 25 Aug 2026 Annual membership is £20 per person for a calendar year, due in January. The fee reduces later in the year, to £10 in July, £8 in August, £6 in September, £4 in October, £2 in November and nothing in December.
