What you can join around Filey · Everything local in Filey
Meets: Weekly on Monday afternoons 2:00 pm
Where: Filey
A group from the Filey area who sing sea shanties and other maritime songs. They sing unaccompanied, need very little setting up and no amplification, and can therefore sing almost anywhere, offering sets of about 40 minutes from a large repertoire. They have appeared at local folk clubs and pub venues, at the Whitby and Scarborough sea fests and the Filey Folk Festival, at charity and fundraising events and on television. The group meets weekly on Monday afternoons at 2pm. The branch lists it as full and not currently accepting new members.
Part of Filey & District u3a. Joining is through membership.
