The group is for anyone who enjoys photography and wishes to improve their technique and knowledge, beginners and experienced photographers alike, and its aim is to promote an appreciation of all forms of photography. Many meetings take the form of photographic expeditions, with a review discussion of the photographs at a later meeting, interspersed with talks and occasional study days, and regular assignments are set. It meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 2pm, and the venue changes each month, with details circulated in advance.
- Newcomers An expensive single lens reflex camera is not needed. A simple camera or a mobile phone will do, along with an interest in photography.
