The group plays petanque weekly on Friday afternoons at 2pm at the Chequers in Barley, from April until October. Numbers are limited to a maximum of sixteen players on the two pistes, with a minimum of four, and as there are usually between six and twelve playing the list can be extended. Taking part requires full paid up membership of Royston u3a.
- What to bring Players are asked to bring their own metal boules if they have them. Sets can be lent to new members.
- Cost, as stated 25 Aug 2026 Players are asked to buy a drink, as the piste is used free of charge.
