Melbourn and District u3a runs 27 groups around Melbourn.
Melbourn and District u3a is for retired and semi-retired people who want to keep active in mind and body. Started in 1994, it has around 400 members drawn mainly from South Cambridgeshire and North Hertfordshire, and about 30 groups covering walking, yoga, music, painting, aviation history and current affairs among much else. The branch is run by its members, who organise the activities themselves, and a small team looks after membership, books speakers and keeps everyone in touch. There is a monthly meeting with a speaker, a monthly newsletter, and access to the online events and support of the national body.
