Meets: On Wednesday afternoons 2:00 pm-4:30 pm First and third (and 5th if there is one), Wednesday of the month
Where: Local pub, Shoreham
Mahjong is cheerfully competitive but never acrimonious. It is not difficult to learn, though it has some fascinating rules and rituals, each set is different and beautiful in its own way, and there is an enormous variety of hands to collect. The group meets at The Swiss Cottage pub on Upper Shoreham Road on the first and third Wednesday of the month, and on the fifth where there is one, from 2pm until 4.30pm. Players new to mahjong are pointed to the branch's Mahjong 4 group, which meets on the second and fourth Wednesday.
Part of Shoreham & Southwick u3a. Joining is through membership.
