Hayle u3a is a sociable group of like minded people who meet about once a week at the Hayle Day Centre Annexe in Copperhouse, next to the fire, police and ambulance station, with ample parking in the Commercial Road car park. Interest groups include art, creative writing and a social group that normally has a speaker, followed by a cup of tea and a chat, and each group has a leader who looks after its general running. The branch lunches together about once a month at a variety of eating places and takes the occasional day out to a place of interest. It is affiliated to the national Third Age Trust and is a registered charity.
