Harlow u3a

Harlow u3a has more than 600 members and 52 interest groups, each led by a volunteer facilitator, with members managing their own arrangements and expenses within general guidelines. Support is given to start new groups when fresh interests are identified. Monthly general meetings usually take place on the fourth Monday of the month from 10am until 12.30pm at The Link Social Club on Parsloe Road in Harlow, where members socialise, book trips and hear a guest speaker. Recent speakers have included a BBC reporter, historians, a burlesque dancer and a prison governor. Harlow and Surrounding Areas u3a was formed in January 2008 and dissolved in April 2022, when its assets were transferred to Harlow u3a, which now operates as a charitable incorporated organisation.
