What you can join around Wyre · Everything local in Wyre
Meets: Monthly on Monday afternoons 2:00 pm 1st Monday of the month.
Where: Carleton Memorial Hall, Wyre
The group helps members with their own family history research, running workshops at most meetings and encouraging members to give short talks on their own work, from a few minutes to longer presentations. Visits are arranged to places such as Lancashire Archives in Preston and a family history centre in Chorley, and external speakers are invited to talk on their areas of expertise. The group does not do research for members, but gives advice on how to make progress and keeps members up to date with new resources. It meets at 2pm on the first Monday of the month at Carleton Memorial Hall.
- What to bring Members are invited to bring a laptop or tablet.
- Who it is for For anyone with an interest in family history, from beginner to more experienced.
