Eastbourne and Wealden u3a runs 25 interest groups covering a range of topics, from breakfast, dining and lunch clubs to rambling, walking, photography, literature, Spanish, music, theatre, and card and board games. Members may join as many groups as they wish, provided there is space in them, and the group coordinator helps anyone who needs it. There are also monthly meetings with a speaker, on subjects such as the suffragettes and the suffragists, the memoirs of a media composer, and walking the High Weald. The branch describes the u3a as a youth club for seniors, one that keeps members fit and active, lets members share their interests, and provides both knowledge and social activity.
