Eastbourne Meads u3a, formed in 1993, is a branch whose members run classes and interest groups for one another across a wide range of educational, creative and leisure subjects. No qualifications are needed or awarded; members share their own knowledge and experience, and study for interest rather than for certificates. Each group covers a specific subject and is run by a group leader. Monthly meetings are held at Victoria Baptist Church Hall on Eldon Road, Eastbourne, usually on the last Friday of the month at 2.30pm, while most group sessions take place in members' own homes and other local venues.
