The course tries to unravel the many mysteries of the Bayeux Tapestry: who commissioned it, who sewed it, why it was made and what it teaches. It is a work of contemporary propaganda, of great historic importance and artistic value, and the world is fortunate that it has survived for nearly a thousand years. The group examines the tapestry in detail and draws its own conclusions. Sessions run at the Friends Meeting House.
