Bedford u3a is a registered charity with around 1000 members from Bedford, Kempston and surrounding villages, bringing people together in retirement to learn, laugh, develop their interests, make friends and find community. Open Meetings with a speaker are held twice a month, at Putnoe Heights Church and at the Addison Centre in Kempston, with tea and coffee afterwards, and interest and study groups meet separately through the month. There is no waiting list, no qualifications are needed and there are no examinations.
