Archaeology

The group looks at recent discoveries of archaeological interest. Members are not archaeologists but people interested in archaeology, and under a shared learning approach each picks an item seen in the newspapers or on television, researches it and brings it to the meeting for discussion. There is a show and tell table for items members bring in, and in the warmer months the group sometimes visits a site or holds its annual mini test dig in a member's garden, replacing the ground as it was afterwards. It meets at the Shoreham Centre on the third Friday of the month from 10am until noon.
