Hem Handwoven
Hem Handwoven weaves scarves, wraps, cushions and blankets in natural fibres from a studio in the Hope Valley, Peak District. Nell Swift works on antique and custom-built hand looms, drawing on the North Yorkshire coast and Peak District dales for her colours and patterns. She uses merino and Shetland lambswool, cotton and linen, and incorporates mill-end textile waste into larger pieces such as wall hangings and tufted rugs. Fibonacci gradient warps and visual blending run through the work.
