Producer in East Sussex, East Sussex
Julie Gurr Willowweaver
Julie Gurr grows her own chemical-free willow in East Sussex and weaves it into baskets and sculptural pieces, drawing on traditional basketry techniques from the UK and beyond. Her work ranges from Celtic knot baskets and laundry baskets to tall hanging baskets, kindling collectors, and natural willow artist's charcoal. She also leads courses in the heritage craft of basketry.
