What you can join around Tetbury · Everything local in Tetbury
Meets: Monthly on Monday evenings 7:00 pm 2nd Monday of the month
Where: Members Homes, Tetbury
A wine tasting group meeting in members' homes, with each member taking a turn to host, and external venues available if a member cannot accommodate the group. The host chooses a theme and buys the wines, usually three white and three red, and tastings are often blind, with members trying to guess the grape, the country and the price. The host usually offers tasting notes afterwards. The group aims for a maximum of twelve members and meets on the second Monday of the month at 7pm.
- Newcomers Enthusiasm matters more than expert knowledge, and anyone interested can come to a meeting first with no commitment.
- What to bring Members bring their own tasting glasses and some savoury nibbles to share.
- Who it is for There is room in the group for up to two more members.
- Cost, as stated 25 Aug 2026 Usually between £5 and £10 per meeting, reimbursing the host, with anything extra going into a kitty for future tastings.
Part of Tetbury and District u3a. Joining is through membership.
