The group arranges a Canadian canoe trip down the River Esk to Whitby, starting from the East Barnby Centre, with room for twelve members who travel there by car share. A trip has run each September since 2022, timed for a high tide so that nobody has to walk in the river, leaving Filey at 8am and returning in time for tea. Places go first come, first served, and a waiting list is kept once the twelve are filled.

Part of Filey & District u3a. Joining is through membership.
