Meets: On Thursdays 10:00 AM 3rd of the month
Where: Various, Dartford
A friendly group who enjoy walking in the countryside and are used to encountering mud, hills and stiles. Walks are generally around five to seven miles, both circular and linear, on the third Thursday of the month. The group aims to be brisk rather than leisurely, but takes time, especially after going up a hill, to look around and enjoy the view. Starting points are usually reached by car, though public transport is sometimes used, and there are sometimes refreshments en route or a snack or picnic lunch. Recent walks have gone through the vineyards of the Silverhand Estate near Luddesdown, around East Malling, and to Trosley Park and its woodhenge.
- Newcomers Volunteers to lead walks are very welcome, and members are expected to take part in at least four walks over the year. Details of length, terrain and refreshment options are emailed about two weeks before each walk
- Who it is for Walkers comfortable with five to seven miles over mud, hills and stiles
