Italian Conversation

A group for anyone interested in speaking and learning Italian, from complete beginners who can just about order a coffee to those who are already fairly fluent. All abilities are welcome and the aim is a friendly, relaxed and supportive atmosphere where everyone builds confidence at their own pace. Each session the group either chooses a topic to chat about or agrees beforehand to bring a set number of questions, to keep the conversation flowing and make sure everyone joins in. Expect lively discussion, new vocabulary, cultural discoveries and the occasional dramatic hand gesture. Nobody minds mistakes, which often produce the biggest laughs. The group meets at the Queen's Head on the second and fourth Monday of each month from 2 to 4, in a room the pub provides free of charge, so members are asked to buy a hot or cold drink from the bar. A WhatsApp group carries updates and reminders, and dates can change around bank holidays.
